All Realtors are real estate agents, but not all agents are Realtors.

Wait. What? Realtors understand that selling real estate is not just a job, but a commitment to excellence founded upon honesty and fair-dealing. This is not to diminish non-Realtor licensees, but is about embracing a higher standard of ethical conduct and practice.

Both are licensed to sell real estate and follow federal, state and local requirements to sell real estate, but Realtors are committed to additional education requirements and a higher standard of ethical practice than non-Realtor licensees. While there are few guarantees in life, working with a Realtor is an additional assurance of ethical conduct translating to a better practice and support for homebuyers and investors.
